Irritated to leave her prisoner behind, Eighth certainly looks distracted as she walks into class late. After passing the sign in sheet around, she eyes them all carefully.

"Surprise, sweethearts. Pop Quiz." And she passes it out with a small, secret smile.

You've captured the child of a warlord from a distant galaxy and have learned all about his world, his technology and his military forces – albeit from a child's perspective. You, of course, have a superior fighting force and you are great need of the superior technology of this distant galaxy. This particular far-off civilization has previously been ravaged by a similar army to your own and should be somewhat prepared. However, that previous invading force COULD see your army as invading their territory and that you are attacking their personal enemies and would be affronted and therefore attack you back. (A) Should you attack? (B) Should you collect more information?

"After you finish your pop quiz, please read the following document. Being able to openly state your intentions and deceiving the other party is a skill for every tactician, as well as being able to tell little white lies that cover up exactly what you are up to.

Pair up and roleplay, as it where, a little disinformation yourself. Try to find out your partner's Valentine's Day plans while spinning your own tale of deception.

"Hey, Anakin," Callisto said. "Need a partner?"

Anakin grinned. "Sure. So do you and Angel have big plans?"

"No, we're not really planning anything big," Since she'd told him to surprise her, and thus Angel was doing the planning ~~which wasn't a scary concept in the least~~, that was true enough. "You got anything planned?"

"Oh you know: dinner, dancing, candlelight," Anakin said, then rolled his eyes. "By myself. Because I'm not seeing anyone and this doesn't seem like a day for friendly dinners that wouldn't end up completely misinterpreted."

"It's going to be very lonely dancing by yourself," Callisto remarked. "If you didn't think it'd be misinterpreted, is there anyone you'd have over for a friendly dinner?"

"I'm very nimble," Anakin said quickly, his cheeks going red. "I could totally dance by myself."

He ran a hand through his hair. "If it were just another Tuesday night, you mean? I don't know. It's not like I have a huge group of friends to be choosing from. Maybe Rory? Or anyone from study group, really."

He leaned his face on his hand. "So you really don't have anything planned? I'm seeing Angel with a sound system singing in front of the dorms myself." His eyes twinkled. "Since we know how much he loves both public spectacles and singing."

"As far as I know Rory hasn't got anything planned either, I bet she wouldn't mind dinner with a friend," Callisto grinned. "You'd just have sneaky enough to avoid the pirate and no-one would know."

"I really don't have anything planned, other than what we might do usually do on a Tuesday night." She snickered at the mental image. "And if he does that I really will stake him."

Anakin's ears went red. Could be conversation they were having.

"I could avoid the pirate," Anakin muttered. "I'm a Jedi. He's just a weird guy who likes to wear foliage."

"Exactly, and since you and Rory are just friends, there's no reason why you couldn't have a friendly dinner, just because it also happens to be some silly holiday as well."

Anakin shook his head. "Nah. I have to stop by for a class project earlier in the day, but then I'll let her have her evening."

He didn't shoot a glare at Bridge. He didn't.

"Well if you change your mind, I get the idea she wouldn't say no to a friendly dinner. Especially since I get the idea that spending this holiday on your own kinda sucks."

"You think she'd like that?" Anakin looked genuinely curious.

He was getting a little bit better at being sneaky.

Or at least he thought so...

"Yeah. I think she would," Callisto nodded. "After all, if the pirate finds out about her spending Valentine's on her own, she'll get made fun of again, whereas a evening with spent with a friend who knows how to avoid Barbossa..."

"I'll think about it," Anakin said, smiling. "I'd hate to give the pirate and his minions any more fodder."
