Geoff breathes a sigh of relief, because he'd been afraid that Phoebe might be about ask him for help with something...dangerous, some sort of trouble she was in.

"All right, I'll do my best. Are we talking a poetry gift, or just a gift in general? What I mean is, are you asking for my opinion as a poet or just a fellow who likes to get presents?"

Phoebe quirks an eyebrow at Geoff. "Hello, Empath," she says softly. "I was thinking of as a poet, but I don't want him to know it's from me?"

"Ah. You know, I don't think I actually knew you were an empath. But...I'll be sure to keep that in mind from now on." Geoff grins.

"All right then, do you want to commission something original, or have me help you find something suitable. And then I assume you're going to want it delivered."

"All right. I'll need to know a few things. First, do you have a topic in mind? And I mean, specifically. Love, friendship, flowers...camels...the color of his hair..."

Geoff gives Phoebe a mischievous grin. "Then, I'll also need to know if you have a preference for the style, if there's anything you absolutely don't want in the poem, and what your deadling?"

"I don't know, Phoebe. But...honestly?" He looks very serious, and very sad. "It's doubtful. Even if I were able to stay in this time, I have no way of knowing if I could ever get back here. You know how this island is. It controls who comes and goes, and I don't think, once you give it up, that it's keen on letting you back in."
