"Today we're taking a small test on what we've been talking about so far," Kaidan said. He had a stack of papers sitting on his desk. Oooh, ominous. "Next week, we start our module on xenobiology and xenosociology. That weekend, I will also be hosting our field trip to the Citadel. If you'd like to spend some time with people not of your species, and get a look at what those species have built, here's your chance."

"It's all expenses paid, so you don't have to worry about anything. It'll be a fun opportunity."

He cleared his throat.

"But now for the test," he said. "You have the entire period to finish it. If you're done early, you can leave the class."

He nodded at Topher. "Your time starts as soon as the test hits your desk."

Anakin's essay was incredibly long, incredibly serious, and incredibly detailed: he started out by describing the route he'd take and why he'd chosen it, the various obstacles and singularities he'd have to deal with on the way. He went on to go over the specs of his XJ X-Wing and how it would handle the hyperspace jumps he'd plotted -- more specifically, how it would react to coming out of hyperspace in the areas he anticipated.

There were also diagrams, and sections of star maps.

Someone was way too serious business, or maybe just a big nerd.

Sorry about the extra page added to the end (written on the back of a scrawled recipe for a high-flexibility chemical explosive based on that bouncy blue goo from P.E. class that was mostly correct but only if you had safety standards even more dubious than GLaDOS) that was basically just a rant about Pluto and where the words dwarf planet could be shoved, along with some suggestions for appropriate lubricant to get it there, Kaidan.
