A Tale of Two Lions, Monday, 10/01
"Welcome again," Tyrion said, from his perch at the front of class. "This week, we're talking about the kind of power one gets from cunning. If you're unfamiliar with the term, it means, 'Having or showing skill in achieving one's ends by deceit or evasion.' In other words, being a sneak until you win."
He raked a hand back through his hair. "You may not get a throne by being cunning. But you may live longer, and get everything you wanted anyhow."
"Where with armies you clash outright until there is a winner, and religion is a matter of winning the faith of the masses, cunning is outmaneuvering each strike by your opponent until you are standing in checkmate with no options left for them," Ghanima said. "While it can be combined with armies, or religions or other things, pure cunning, with no resources beyond your own wits, is never to be underestimated." It was how she and Leto had taken the throne, after all.
"Riddles," Tyrion concluded, "are not a perfect test of cunning, but they force you to use similar parts of your brain. For our activity this week, pair up or work alone to solve any of a number of logic problems."

As usual, Natalie was taking notes, leaning an elbow against her desk and resting her chin on her hand.
Activity: Brain Teasers [10/01]
Re: Activity: Brain Teasers [10/01]
'Two fifty foot ropes are suspended from a forty foot ceiling twenty feet apart. You have only a knife. How much of the rope can you steal?'
All of it. With Evan's powers, reaching the top was easy.
