The Chef is clearly hungover this morning. He has sunglasses over his eyes and he's drinking water very slowly out of a bottle.

Walter's turn to choke on his food, but he recovered quickly, smirking at Victor and nudging his foot under the table. "Are you that bad a poker player?"

Victor shrugged and took a sip of soda. "Not really. I've only played a few times, and most of the time I win because of a lucky draw. it sound slike fun, though."

"Oh, and before I forget, I got your message. What's the party for tonight?"

"We should give it a go sometime." He bumped his knee against Victor's under the table and grinned. "As long as we're both playing."

He stopped and pulled a piece of paper (http://prof-cregg.livejournal.com/44085.html#cutid1) out of his bookbag to show Victor. "It is for Jack Harkness' birthday. I stopped at All and Sundries and bought him a gift this morning. It could be from both of us if you want."

"Really? That'd be cool," he replied, giving a lopsided smile. "I'd love to go with you tonight."

"Wonderful. I will have the best date there," Walter said, oblivious of Nadia.

Yes, he'd missed Victor. Yes, he was being a bit schmoopy. No, he didn't really care.

Victor couldn't help blushing a little. He felt lucky to be on the recieving end of Walter's affections, and smiled as he thought of the surprise Walter would find at his doorstep tomorrow.

"I'll meet you in my room later?" Walter asked ~~as his mun frantically scrambled to get organized~~.

"Yeah, sure," Victor replied ~~as his mun patiently waited for the other mun to get ready~~.
