Drama! Thursday, Period Four

Drama room, circle, Thor. Business as usual. That he had a tiny orange tabby kitten nestled on his shoulder? Not quite as usual. But adorable!

"Today we are going to talk about something called improvisation. The ability to think on your feet! A quality that is much prized in battle, and on the stage as well. To that end, I have arranged you in small groups, and you shall be performing an activity called ‘Story Story Die’." He paused briefly to reach up and offer ear-skritches to the kitten on his shoulder. "Everyone in your group shall line up, and the person I point to shall start the story. Then I will point to someone else, and they shall have to pick up where the first person left off. If their continuation makes little to no sense, or if they hesitate, then the audience- the rest of you- shall shout ‘die’ and that person must sit down. Each group will continue until there is only one person left!"

Once every group had had a chance to go, Thor gestured for them to sit down once again. "I have set aside some time in case anyone has some ideas for the final show already. It is okay if you do not! It is early yet. But I urge you all to think about what you would like to do. For next week, I would like you to all bring a short musical piece that you enjoy and are capable of singing."

[ooc: hold for excessive ocd omg is up!]

Alec was totally a deer in the headlights when he found himself the first person pointed to, but he scrambled to come up with something quickly enough. "A, a family went on a trip to the zoo in the Bronx," he began. "And they were hoping to see, let's say, monkeys. But the map was very poorly organized, so they wound up in the aquarium area instead?"

Arietty had never been to either a zoo or an aquarium in her life, but she was nothing if not willing to make it up as she went along. "And in the aquarium they saw all sorts of aquarium things like starfishes and grouchy water snakes and sharks and octopuses or octopi or octopodes or whatever the word for it was and they looked around for a zookeeper to ask what the word for more than one octopus is but before they could find one they found a lobster instead."

"But it was not a lobster. It was, in fact, a rock," Loki added. As he knew that song. That terrible, terrible song.

It haunted many an nightmare.

"The rock was cursed to cause all who looked upon it to die horribly."

LOKI. WHAT.
