Hiding in Plain Sight, Wednesday, Period Four

Today the Danger Shop resembled a large changing room, with a vast and varied collection of clothes to choose from.

"Good afternoon, class," Bond greeted them. "We have a more hands on exercise this week, namely choosing a disguise. Much like trying to hard to act inconspicuous will be likely to draw attention, nothing sticks out more than a disguise that's too obviously a disguise. Rather than dark glasses and fake facial hair, you want something appropriate to the situation, the more nondescript the better, though something eye-catching that's also easily removable or hidden can be useful if you want to draw attention away from your face. Another thing to remember is that what's appropriate to a situation will change with depending on the situation, for example a region's traditional clothing will only draw attention if you are obviously not from that region, so playing up the difference by looking like a tourist may be a smarter tack."

"Now, there's a list of scenarios by the mirrors, pick one and try to come up with an appropriate outfit for you to blend in and not draw attention to yourself."

Oh yikes, what did one wear to a real estate open house? Stephanie ended up going with a nice pantsuit and blazer combo (way more expensive than she could ever afford on her own, and in a deep eggplant shade, of course) and . . . kind of failing at blending in because of her obvious discomfort.

She was trying, though?
