Student Council meeting (lunch)

Josh had his feet up on his desk when the Student Council came into the classroom.

"Okay. We're a go for the Valentine's Day dance next Friday. We need to work out logistics: what time, who's doing publicity, who's doing music, who that's not me who will be putting up the dance entry, all that good stuff." He pointed at Callisto. "As our benevolent Dictator-in-Chief, do you want to either head this up or appoint staffers to do the work for you?"

He looked down at list of notes he had taken last meeting. "Okay. I also need you all to give me a final yes or no on a Spring Break trip to be held from March 3-8, heading to England and Calais, so I can take it to people who are actually in charge around here and get approval for the idea."

He smiled at Isabel. "I saw the posters up for the Game Night. Good job. As Student Council reps, it'd be a good--I'd say almost compulsory--idea to at least swing by the Game Night at some point during the evening."

He waved his hand lazily. "Anything else?"

"Might as well be me in charge because the mun learnt nothing, nothing from doing the fashion show," Callisto replied. "So we're going to need chaperones, any idea which teachers would be able to do it?"

"We could try asking for vic... uh, volunteers," Elizabeth grinned. "Some of them might feel a sense of duty and volunteer. If not, names in a hat? Alphabetical order, with the promise that we'll work our way through the faculty during the school year?"

"I'd say start off with asking volunteers, since they're going to be in a better mood if they actually want to be there, then we try the threats and bribes."

"Notice in the faculty lounge on Monday? Sign ups for the first couple of days, then bribery et cetera?"

"Sounds like a plan to me."
