Bond had his class meet him in the Danger Shop, which today was set up like a small, bustling cafe, with a couple of tables set aside for the students near the windows. Once everyone had arrived, Bond stood up from the corner seat where he'd been sitting and watching, and moved to join them.

"Good afternoon," he greeted them. "For those of you who are new to my class, I'm Professor Bond, and for those I've taught before it's good to see you again."

"This class is called Hiding in Plain Sight, and that's exactly what I'll be trying to teach you, how not to be noticed when you don't want to be, or as the case may be, being noticed in the way you want to be noticed. While there will be an element of disguise and the creation of covers involved, this class will also be about learning how to recognise the feel of a situation and adapting your own attitude and demeanour to fit in."

"Before before we get to any of that, it's time for another around of introductions, I'd like you to tell me and the rest of the class your name, year, why you're taking the class, and one interesting fact about yourself that might or not be true. If you believe one of your classmates might be lying about their fact, you may quiz them and try to catch them out. Politely, of course."

Percy had taken one of Professor Bond's classes before so he was pretty glad to be back. The guy knew what he was talking about and he didn't mince words. Percy liked that.

And he was gonna help himself to some free food, yep.

Oooh, pastries? Pastries. Watch Stephanie cheerfully take advantage of free food. Hey, the atmosphere here completely called for it anyway.

Sholeh was glad for the pastry; it helped keep her focused on the class, instead of daydreaming about her new position in the library.

In Fandom, they're even more inevitable than death or taxes.

"Percy Jackson," he said when it was his turn. "I'm a senior and I'm taking this class because, where I come from, I'm gonna need to learn how to blend in with the masses so I don't scare the hell out of them."

The Mist helped but he still wanted to know what to do when or if it broke down. "As for an interesting fact about me? I stole a lightning bolt once."

He was just gonna claim that as his own for this class. Sorry, Luke.

"It's good to have you in class again, Percy," Bond said. "Any particular reason you stole it?"

"I wanted to teach Zeus a lesson," he said casually. "I wanted to teach all of Olympus a lesson, actually."

"You wanted to teach the gods a lesson? That usually doesn't end very well."

"It didn't." For anyone, really. "So, I guess I learned a lesson too, didn't I?"

"Stephanie Brown, senior." Huh, actually saying that made it more meep-worthy. She chewed on her lip for a moment, thinking, then continued. Yay, carefully (she hoped) planned out cover stories that she hoped were consistent with the other ones she'd ever had to come up with for class introductions? "The city I come from is preeeeeeeetty dangerous, and it seemed like a good idea to know how not to stick out like a sore thumb just in case?"

Hmm, a fact, a fact.

"I play the piano, a little bit. Not much, and I'm not very good, but sometimes."

"That's a very good reason to be taking the class, Stephanie," Bond said. "I hope it'll be helpful for you."

"I'm George." He nodded, almost a hint of a bow. "And I'm taking this class because I'll need to be able to blend in in worlds that aren't my own when I leave here."

"I'm a necromancer. Some people find that interesting." Quite a lot of people, oddly enough.

"Well, yes, I can see how they would," Bond said. "Does it tie into your need to blend?"

"Not especially," George admitted. "It's a rare talent in my world, but there are those which stand out more." In a world of bluebloods, he was a looked down on, rather.

"And my magic is stipped when I enter the broken world, so it matters little there."

"Toby Logan," he introduced himself. "Grade- uh. Sophomore." He shrugged. "I'm here 'cause from where I'm from, sticking out gets you in trouble. I'd like to avoid that." And also how to not unintentionally creep people out. That'd be nice too.

"I'm a foster kid." And not the greatest liar, so he went with a true fact.

Bond nodded. "Learning to not stick out is a definite goal here, Toby."

"I'm Sholeh Zeela a Zhahar," Sholeh answered, doing her best to look at the other students and not her desk. "I'm a sophomore and I'm taking this class because there are a lot of circumstances where it's better to be overlooked than noticed."

She flailed about for an interesting fact, one that didn't involve her working at the library, as she was pretty sure that she was the only one who was interested by that.

Finally she settled on, "I have two mothers." It was a lie that she thought could easily be taken as the truth.

"Welcome back, Sholeh," Bond said. "And you're quite right about that."

"I am Loki Laufeyson of Asgard," he said brightly. "I am a sophomore and wished to take this class because it is always a useful skill to have."

There was a pause as he attempted to think of something of interest. "I have over five hundred followers on my Tumblr account."

"You're quite right there Loki," Bond said."And I'll take your word for it."

Yeah, someone didn't get Tumblr.

Who's looking for a TA if anyone's interested.

Bonds hips do not lie, I can't speak for the rest of him however...

Mmmm. Abs. From the worst account possible.
