For the last week of classes, the Danger Shop had been set up to look like a street in Tokyo. Small local businesses lined the narrow street, and the Tokyo Tower was just visible in the distance. Prof Tomoe stood in front of a noodle shop, eagerly waiting for the students to arrive. Kotetsu stood back a little, arms crossed and a concerned expression on his face.

“It’s been an interesting eight weeks of classes,” Prof Tomoe said, “and it’s been enjoyable having you all as students. For our final lesson, you’re going to face the hardest, deadliest force the universe can offer.” He threw his arms open wide. “Teenage girls with superpowers!”

He let out a long maniacal laugh. Kotetsu raised an eyebrow at the outburst. It took a full minute before Prof Tomoe calmed down enough to explain the rest of the lesson.

“For today’s class, I want you to go and fetch the Silver Crystal, which is waiting for you at the top of Tokyo Tower. However, it’s protected by one of five magical girls who will stop at nothing to keep you from getting your hands on it. In order to get the crystal and complete this task, you must defeat her. You may do that anyway you like.”

He held up a basket full of different coloured ribbons. “And here, have a present from us before you go.”

How will you deal with a 14-year-old in a coloured miniskirt who can shoot laser beams from her fingertips?

You can tackle this task solo or in groups. Feel free to mod your own superheroine, or ping in the OOC thread and an NPC will get to you post-haste.

This might be something where the squire might need to think ahead and plan, possibly with help.

Sadly, this is not what happened. Instead, he marched off to find this Silver Crystal.

A girl dressed entirely in blue with vaguely squid-like blue hair waited patiently at the base of Tokyo Tower. She snapped to attention as James approached and eyed him over with suspicion.

"I don't believe I've seen you here before," she said. "I feel must inquire who you are, sir, and what business you have in this area."

James straightened as well in response. "I am new to the area. I am a squire sent on a quest.". Simple. Direct. Mostly truthful.

These weirdos are going to miss you.

Probably. It's always hard to tell with Tomoe.

Prof Tomoe was in a good mood today. Anything that involved the possibility of magical girls being defeated was enough to raise his spirits.

He'd bought a can of hot coffee from one of the drink vending machines and was sipping it while keeping an eye on the class.

Kotetsu would probably miss his students, yes. After this class, he'd be heading back to Sternbild and throwing himself at the mercy of another television season, after all, and the kids here seemed to take him at least slightly more seriously than the general public back home, these days.

He probably wouldn't miss all of the maniacal laughter from his co-teacher, but that was more of a matter of personal taste.

They all get power ups half-way through the series and their hairstyes get even more ridiculous. I seriously don’t know how the green one can even stand up with that much hair.

I kind of imagine the green one fell over like Maggie Simpson like as soon as she was out of frame on this picture.

That's how it happens in my head anyway and it is HILARIOUS.
