Wednesday: Study Hall
The ocelots were getting restless. They yowled in complaint in their cage, occasionally snapping at each other when one crawled over the other.
The Madri seemed not to care. They merely took their positions around the room and kept an eye open for troublemakers.

Study!
Re: Study!
I will not be a glutton.
100 times.
She could do that, right? Sure, writing with a quill seemed difficult (and wasn't there supposed to be ink?) but she could write it as fast as possible, and then deliver it with a heartfelt apology. And be more wary of Ms. Maggotbone in the future.
Poor Sholeh. She had so much to learn. Especially about the magic quill.
Re: Study!
Re: Study!
"I didn't mean to be," she said quietly, hoping the Madri would understand. "I was just trying the desserts."
Oh, Sholeh. You think a guy who cages ocelots was going to feel bad you you?
Re: Study!
He gave Sholeh a little sneer. "You're getting off lucky."
Actually she wasn't. Not that the Madri would admit that.
Re: Study!
Re: Study!
"And clearly you weren't paying attention to Ms. Maggotbone's lessons," yet another Madri added.
The Madri who started the conversation/interrogation shook his head and tsk'd again. "You better be careful," he warned. "I'd hate to see you branded as a trouble maker."
Re: Study!
Re: Study!
"We'll have to see about that," the one Madri replied. "Until then... we'll all just have to keep our eyes on you."
And yes, he did do that creepy hand gesture where he took two of his fingers, pointed them at his eyes and then pointed his fingers back at Sholeh.
Re: Study!
=I'll give him something to keep an eye on,= Zeela growled.
::Shhhh!:: Sholeh said, bending back over her lines. And trying not to whimper as the quill started cutting at her skin again. ::I don't want any of them watching anything!::
Re: Study!
"Press harder on the quill. It'll hurt less," one of the Madri suggested.
They were truly a sick bunch.
Re: Study!
*Let me handle this,* Zhahar suggested.
The voice that came out of Sholeh's mouth was not her own, but close enough that someone would need to be listening well (or fairly familiar with either voice) to notice. "No thank you," she said. "This is my punishment. I should take it as it is."
Re: Study!
Almost.
"Very well. Carry on," the Madri said.
Re: Study!
Inwardly, Zeela was raging and Zhahar was fretting, but neither of them could help. Not while the Madri watched.
And Sholeh was firmly convinced they were everywhere.
Re: Study!
Re: Study!
"Go away!" she hissed, still writing her lines. "You just want to get me in trouble!"
The Madri were not fun guys.
Re: Study!
"...Tell you what: Five bucks?"
Re: Study!
Beat.
"You probably don't even have five dollars."
Re: Study!
He counted through the bills again.
"Upon further review, the bet has been deemed invalid."
Re: Study!
Re: Study!
He just wished this clever plan didn't involve being watched by a crazy people.
Re: Study!
"No. Talking. In. Study. Hall," he growled.
Re: Study!
Re: Study!
"Maybe it needs to write some lines," another Madri suggested.
The ocelots began to cheer in the own fuzzy way until a Madri kicked the cage.
"Throw him in the cage!" another Madri suggested.
Re: Study!
He was going to need to work out some other way to get into Umbridge's good graces.
Talk with the Madri
