Summer Vacation 101, Thursday, Period 1

Today the Danger Shop was a beach.

Sure, they could have gone to the actual beach in town but why bother, when it was so easy to manipulate the environment here? Like, say, in a way where it was really hot everywhere else but actually nice and cool underneath the big parasol Sarah had set up for herself.

"So, it's your first actual class, so it'll be an easy one." A beat. "Actually that might be most weeks. I can't believe they let me teach what I want here. Anyway, like I said, easy. Do beach things." She waved a hand around, to gesture at the various moddable beach fun equipment laying around on the sand. Beach volley ball stuff, snorkels, whatever. "You get extra points for creatively coming up with a way to make some shade for yourself to lie in, though. Or just doing something that amuses me. And before anyone asks, no, I don't know what you can actually get for the extra points. You should still strive for those."

Because it would amuse her, and that was a good enough reason.

"Get to it."

Petra was an expert at this 'make some shade out of whatever the hell you can find' thing, and within about ten minutes had crafted herself a little lean-to out of a couple of surf boards and a beach towel and maybe some palm fronds if there were any of those around and was lounging in the shade.
