"No lecture today. Instead, I am going to assign you a partner, and give each team a unique assignment.

Today in class, you should chat with your partner and discuss how you are going to develop your presentation on the topic I am going to give to you. Each team will present on Tuesday.

Now, as you may remember, we have been discussing marriage and its role in our society. Most cultures have a ceremony of some kind, to officially begin such a union. Generally, that's called a wedding. However, different societies have much different ways of conducting weddings, and I think it would be very useful for everyone to see some of these differences first hand.

So..." oh, the smirking. "You are your partner will each be assigned a type of wedding. I will give you each a packet with the information you will need. And then, on Tuesday you will act out the ceremony for all of us with your partner.

"Shep? Relax. Right now, she just enjoys being with you. Trust me, she isn't making wedding plans."

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure after my anti-marriage rants this week, she won't be bringing that up for a while. Though to be fair, it was more anti-wedding-drama than anti-marriage. Marriage is fine. Weddings are all emo-nightmares. For everyone. So... back to the project... we're all getting married, right?"

Phoebe is a good friend and not a meddler.

"Yep, unless you just want to marry one of us, but you have to choose in that case."

"No matter what I do, I have a feeling, I lose. So you two get together and get back to me about who I'm supposed to marry."

And only at Fandom High would he possibly utter a sentence like that.

"Then I'm your bride," Phoebe says with a smile

"Guess I'll be the one doing the cerimony then huh?"

Phoebe grins. "Yep. We can have so much fun with this."

"there seem to be quite a few descriptions of handfasting though, guess we just pick the one that look most interesting and remove the sword part? Do you both want to actually get dressed up ~~cos the mun may have a couple of dresses picked out~~?"

"Works for me," Shep says, just glad that he didn't have to decide. (and that just like his life in Atlantis, he could explain to anyone who had a vested interest, that he was just coping as best he could with women who thrust themselves at him periodially and without warning.)

"Oh come on Shep are you a man or a mouse?" she asks grinning, "just pick one!"

"Pass the cheese?"

Paige just shook her head smirked

Phoebe laughs.
