Father's Day. Hrmph. It was not generally one of his favourite of the modern holidays he'd encountered since arriving in Fandom. For obvious reasons (well, obvious to him). Which is why he'd managed to convince Holmes to go on a nice, distracting little expedition to Baltimore.

Which had almost landed the two of them in jail for the night, but details. All that mattered was come the morning, he was ready and able to open the library as usual.
