With last week all about body decoration, today was... somewhat related. On the floor in the middle of the room was a veritable mountain of second hand clothes, material scraps, trash bags, newspaper, tinsel and just about anything else you could ~~mod~~ possibly fashion into or use to make a piece of clothing or an accessory.

Angela was looking particularly amused. “If any of you have ever tried to make your own clothes, you will already be well aware that it is nowhere near as easy as it looks.” She spoke from experience, she really did. “But modification? That’s pretty fun.”

Again, she hoped people took her ‘wear things you don’t mind destroying’ advice from the course description. “So I want you to come up with a way to make your clothing just a little more unique. Help yourself to fabric, or whatever else you can find in there. We’ve got pins, needles and thread and sewing machines, glue, spray paint... sequins and glitter.”

“If you’re going to duke it out over scraps, try to do it nicely!”

Sam might be hoarding scraps over here. What? Growling at people who tried to take them and then offering them out for a reasonable price was totally nice, wasn't it?

Express yourselves with fabric! You might want a partner to help you, or you may not.

If there was one thing Hanna understood, it was clothes. She was completely in her element as she attempted to sew pretty fabrics.

Rapunzel didn't exactly know clothes, but she did know sewing. And she knew that Hanna knew clothes! So she grabbed some supplies and sat down nearby, tossing her roommate a little wave.

Juliet found some scraps of brightly colored fake fur and started pinning them to the hem of her skirt. She thought the effect was both youthful and retro, though she'd have no idea what to do when it came time to actually sew them on.

Ahaha, like there was any part of Ace's jacket that wasn't covered with some badge, patch, ribbon, whistle, cufflink, cat tag or even more outre' form of self-imposed decoration?

The problem wasn't whether she was willing to mess it up; it was finding an empty space. Still, with some judicious shifting of an Arachnid-Guy badge, three hearno/seeno/speakno monkeys and a nappy-pin with a blue duck for a head, she'd managed to clear a bit of her left sleeve.

Now to start harvesting the wicked cool buttons from that awful plaid coat!

Would be here picking through the scraps herself and considering some added cuffs on her shirts.

Angelica was totally there, once she remembered to ping in.

I love Angela's canon modified lab coats. A lot.
