It was a nice, normal day -- well, in Fandom, at least -- which meant that there was a pretty cheerful Cassidy showing up to do her job.

She quickly got lost in the work of things.

"Ook ook!"

There was a triumphant tone in the Librarian's declaration from his desk, grinning a proud and incredibly toothy grin at the papers he held up proudly and ready. He had been working on them all week and now he'd finally gotten through some of the preliminary organization of this library. Next week would be an exciting one, making sure his Aides were up to par and understood the rules, and he'd get a chance to fill in some of the gaps, too.

He was going to celebrate by breaking in to a nice big banana.

Cassidy had yet to meet her new boss and teacher and she was pleasantly surprised --look, it's Cassidy -- to see that he was apparently happy and not a human being.

She knocked politely on the wall and then smiled cheerfully.

"Hello. I'm Cassidy."

"Ook?"

The Librarian looked up from his work, rubbed his chin thoughtfully, and then seemed to nod in approval. From one redhead to another.

"Oooook."

He shoved a neat pile of books forward on the desk, patting them a little as he instructed her to go ahead and put them away if she didn't have anything else to do. "Ook ook ook."

Yes. Redheads were awesome.

She grinned and nodded, reaching for the books.

"Sure thing. If you need me for anything else, just let me know."

The thing is, even if she hadn't been in Fandom for two years, this probably would still be her normal reaction.

Her canon was weird.

"Ook ook," said the Librarian, waving a hand dismissively so the girl could get to work, he could get to another banana, and he can finish up his paperwork. He was not exactly a man of many words, of course. Or a man at all.

Cassidy waved and floated the books to her since it would have been rude to grab them with her waving hand.

She smiled again and went to play work in the stacks.
