Bond had handwavily informed his class to meet him by the school gates. ~~Unlike his icon would suggest, he was actually wearing a shirt~~

"Good afternoon, class," he said once they'd all arrived. "I'm Professor Bond, and I'll be taking you for Survival Skills, we're going to be covering a range of topics in this class, but we're going to stick with introductions this week. Starting with an introduction to jogging." Yes, he thought he was terribly clever there as he started the class off in a slow circuit of the island.

After they'd had enough time to find a rhythm, he continued without breaking stride. "So I can get an idea of where everyone is at, I'd like your names, class, any experiences with survival training or skills you may already have, and if there are any area in particular you might like to study.

"For example, as I mentioned before, my name is Bond, and in my homeworld, I was formerly part of Her Majesty's Navy, more specifically the Special Boat Service, the selection and training process for which involves intense wilderness survival." He gestured to the nearest student. "Now you. Also, I encourage you all to speak with and ask questions of your classmates if you find any overlaps."

THIS WAS NOT WHAT SHOLEH HAD BEEN EXPECTING, BOND.

It was also not at all what she was dressed for.

=Come on, faster!= Zeela complained. =Everyone else is ahead of you!=

::I am never picking classes you like again!:: Even internally, Sholeh sounded winded.

Still jogging.

Hey, who knew that going running with Tony would actually have beneficial effects besides getting to hang out with Tony? Thankfully, it also meant Billy could jog and talk at the same time.

"I'm Billy Kaplan, and I'm going to be a junior," he said. "I don't really have any survival training, because I have powers that usually get me out of any kind of mess I could get into. But I figured, if I'm ever in a situation where my powers get taken away, I should know how to keep myself alive and in one piece."

"An admirable goal," Bond said, ~~thank you randomly dying internets~~. "Welcome to the class, Billy."

Tony was mostly used to a jog every morning, so this wasn't too bad as long as they didn't decide to go crazy and try running on the beach.

"Tony Stark," he said, keeping pace. "Going into my senior year here and--does running count as survival training?"

"If you can out-run whatever's chasing you." Notice how he did not suggest outrunning the other people being chasing. Because that would be wrong. "It's a start at least."

If Bond wanted to hear Sholeh's introduction, he might have to drop back a little. She was not the athletic aspect, oh no.

"...Sholeh.." she panted, not bothering with the rest of her name. Too many syllables! "...Sophom--ugh...and none."

That part was probably very obvious, Sholeh.

And Bond hadn't even broken out the backpacks filled with weights yet. "It still gives a starting point. Thank you, Sholeh."

Who is jogging, so you'll have to keep up with him.

Summer means it's time to break out the swimtrunk icons again!
