"Shop", Friday 2nd Period

Oz had made sure his class all knew to meet him down in the shop room, where a large amount of tools and lumber, as well as three sets of blueprints, awaited them.

"Good morning class, and welcome to your shop final," Oz greeted them, cheerfully. Somehow his tie had gotten lost, fancy that. "Now if you remember last week's class, I told you how you'd be working in groups for your final, working of subsections of a larger project, you know that modern art installation? So that you could get an idea of how large scale projects happen in the real world. So put on your safety gear, and hopefully we'll be able to put everything together by the end of class."

You're working on the arm, it's a symbol of man's futile struggle for self determination.

Juliet had no idea what she was doing. She was going to spend a great deal of time putting on her safety equipment, then start sorting out pieces of wood by size in hopes somebody else would take over.

This was shaping up to be a remarkably useful group as Rilla wandered over as well.

"I have no idea how to do any of this," she hissed.

"Me either," Juliet pouted, staring down at the wood as if she expected it to begin assembling itself. "I have barely even held a hammer."

"They don't bite, I promise," Stephanie said dryly. "Power tools, on the other hand, I'm not so familiar with."

Ignore how excited she looked at the prospect, though.

"Somehow I get the feeling this is not gonna be the most successful project ever," Richie said. "But we can probably figure it out, right?"

Try not to sound so confident, Richie.

You're working on the counter-weight, it symbolises the struggles dragging people down and away from their dreams.

You're working on the frame, it symbolises entrapment to this firmament we call planet Earth.

K-Mart... had no idea what she was doing. But by God, she'd take a whack at it.

And hope someone else in her group knew more.
