Everyday Skills, Friday 2nd Period
As each student entered the Danger Shop, Oz numbered them off, handing each of them a basket and a box. The Danger Shop itself was a beautiful, bucolic field, all done in pastels.
"Morning kids," Oz greeted them. "Now it just so happens that we're coming up on Easter, and in the spirit of the holiday we're going to have ourselves a little chocolate egg hunt." And if the class wasn't expecting the other shoe to very quickly drop after that, then Oz hadn't been doing his job.
"But this is a special egg hunt, it's also something of a teamwork exercise, see the eggs are booby trapped." Of course the eggs were booby trapped. "If you don't pick them up while wearing the special gloves that those of you numbered one have, then they'll explode. If you don't pick them up carefully, they'll also explode, won't hurt you, but it'll destroy that delicious chocolate. Now those of you numbered two you might be wondering what you've got."
Oz killed the lights. "Night vision goggles. Find a partner, then go looking for eggs, you'll divvy up what you collect at the end of class."
[Away we go]
