Okay, maybe someone kept missing her own fucking apathy club. So? She kind of kept getting reaps on the fucking mainland on Friday afternoons, like maybe one of the higher-ups thought it was funny or something to make her stand out in the pouring rain watching an idiot try to put a chainsaw through a woodchipper or whatever Tales of Idiocy happened this particular time.

And okay she just plain forgot a couple of times but it was apathy club and if you weren't entitled to forget your own apathy club then it wasn't really apathy club, it was Give A Fuck Club and this wasn't.

Anyway. George was here. Trying to beat this stupid fucking level of a game where you moved a raindrop around on a windowsill except there were giant spikes. The music was all zen except for when you hit the raindrop into the giant spikes which made you want to break your fucking iPhone.

"You know, I think there's a word for that," Jeremy mused, smiling lazily at her. Which he tended to do a lot, too.

He also leaned down to kiss her in a club appropriate manner because that was just the thing to do. "I think it's a club member."

Club-appropriate kisses were awesome. Not as good as club-inappropriate kisses, but those could wait until after club. Hey, was he doing anything after club? She should ask him, um, after club. Or after kissing. One of the two.

"It can be a club un-member if you mouth off to the club organizer," she grinned. "We've never kicked anyone out, but that doesn't mean we couldn't."

Jeremy snickered. "I'm not gonna mouth off to the club organizer," he said. Another little peck of a kiss, and he straightened up again.

Hey, if she wanted more, all she had to do was ask. He was easy. It was almost sad just how easy he was.

"I don't wanna be a club un-member. This is like the only club I've ever liked belonging to."

"Okay, we don't actually kick people out," George said. "That's very effort, and we strive for a no-effort environment here. Except for kissing, which is allowed under the Jeremy-is-hot clause."

See, now that they were actually whatever-it-was-that-they-were, she could say things like that out loud. Blushing, but out loud.

Jeremy grinned at her, delighted. See, easy? "I have my own clause?"

Really not that surprising when the club leader was his... whatever she was. But still.

"Maximum. And I would have to, like, protest against the rules if kissing was outlawed. It'd be a, a freaking tragedy."

"We're not big at protests, either," she said. "Unless it's the kind of protest where we protest by not doing things, like, not showing up for class? Or bitching a lot? Those we can handle. Making signs, that sounds like effort again."

It was seriously, like, unfair how hot he was. Did he even know that?

"You get your own exception," she said. "Clause. In fact we can just kick Squall out and make out for a while if you want."

Squall probably wouldn't give a fuck. He did not seem to give a fuck about much. He was really good at apathy club.

Squall was basically the best member they had, yes. Most accomplished in the backwards way you could be accomplished at apathy.

Jeremy grinned again. "We can do that?"

Actually, he was a Darling. They were kicking people out of places to do various bordering-on-inappropriate things all the freaking time.

"Of course we can do that. He probably won't even mind."

Okay, he had a point, there. Squall really wouldn't care. They were even friends, in so far as George had friends. And he really could be club president himself if not for the fact that he wouldn't want the job and would never bother to actually organize meetings himself, which ... sort of just went to show how fitting the title was.

"We'd still have Dean here," she said. (He brought coffee, and she liked his class; she was going to actually remember his name, yes.) "Maybe we just bail early. Tell Squall he can finish club by himself."

Ugh, why did supervisors have to exist? But, luckily, that other plan sounded pretty sweet, too, so Jeremy kept on smiling.

"That sounds maximum," he decided, totally on board with that. Unsurprisingly. He held out his hand for her. "Let's go."
