Leadership, Friday, 3rd Period
"Short and sweet from me today, people," Scott said as the class began. "Because a valuable part of leadership is being able to impart wisdom to your team. I've assigned teams. Get together and see if you can't teach each other something new and useful. And I know that's vague, so define that however you want, but keep it within reason. I'd rather not have you learn that I'm willing to give detentions if anyone bleeds or something."
Scott waved a hand to indicate the start of teamwork. "Have at it."

Teach Each Other Something
If you decide to teach something fighty, don't hurt each other.

So he turned to Susan
assuming she's thereand said with a shrug" "What are your feelings on practical jokes?"Re: Teach Each Other Something

Re: Teach Each Other Something
No, Rebecca. You couldn't teach her. She was the worst.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
Mainly because patience was not at all his strong suit, but he was contemplating his options here.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
That was helpful.
"I mean, unless there was anything you wanted to learn?"
It wasn't that Warren didn't know things, but it was hard to just inform someone that they were going to learn those things without first knowing if they knew anything about them or not.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
He considered. "But if it is . . ."
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"I really don't know the first thing about starfighters," he admitted. "My area of expertise when it comes to flying is a little less... interstellar."
He stretched a wing slightly to demonstrate.
"So you're not from around here, then? Is there anything about Earth that's been giving you trouble, maybe?"
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"Just that it's a lot more primitive than home, some ways." Anakin looked a little sulky about that, yes. He did that a lot. "Maybe . . . you could explain to me why pizza is such a traditional food at gatherings around here?"
Just curiosity, really. He liked the pizza.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"I think that's mostly because you can feed a lot of hungry teenagers with just a couple of them, and get toppings to suit anybody's tastes," he offered. "And we can pretend pizzas are actually healthy, now that the government is telling us they count as a vegetable."
He wasn't going to knock it if it gave him an excuse to eat more of it, okay?
Re: Teach Each Other Something
You could sort of argue that there was, though, couldn't you? Because it was traditional.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
See? Warren was teaching! Kind of!
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"Well, it makes sense. And now I know," he decided with a little nod. "So it's my turn to ask if there's anything you want to learn, I guess?"
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"I'm really not picky about what I learn," he admitted. "I've got a long way to go with a lot of things, which is kind of why I'm here, you know? But if there's anything that you're really comfortable with that you wouldn't mind walking somebody else through, I'd be all for it."
He wasn't kidding when he said he had a lot to learn. His experience with the world was still kind of limited to his time on the island. With a definite skew in the direction of not getting himself killed, admittedly.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"Flying things, programming computers, building machines," he rattled off, then frowned. "Puzzles?"
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"What sort of puzzles?"
Warren actually enjoyed those, so if Anakin had anything that he hadn't seen before, he'd probably be thrilled.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
Not that his player ever has. Wah.Re: Teach Each Other Something
Logic wasn't really something that could be taught, anyhow.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"If I show you one, do you think that counts as teaching?" he mused. What? It sounded like fun.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
That was totally legit, boys.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
Totally legit! Even if that fell outside the bounds of 'teaching' even if you squinted and . . . spun around in zero-gravity while squinting.
Re: Teach Each Other Something
"It could be like homework," Warren agreed, his feathers fluffing a little behind him and a grin on his face. "Solve the 3D puzzle before next week."
It could be done! It was totally possible!
... Right?
Re: Teach Each Other Something
Well, maybe something that everyone could enjoy, then. He pulled a deck of collectible trading cards out of his pocket and started dividing it into two stacks of approximately equal strength.

Talk to Scott
It was only a relatively minor step back, but it ruined his planning.
