Newspaper Club, Journalism Room, Monday after classes

Dave had been in the journalism room since yesterday, trying to work on this week's paper. Unfortunately, every thing he started to write was about Miley, how much he liked her, and how he thought it was time to take things to the next level.

NONE OF WHICH was making it into the paper, of course. And so eventually Dave had to admit that the paper just wasn't happening this week. And furthermore, he had to admit that coffee was only so powerful, which was why he was sitting at the front of the room with his face planted on the desk when people walked in.

When they did walk in, Dave just lifted his head slightly and said, "Sorry, paper didn't happen. Next week! Need more coffee."

Funnily enough, pretty much every subject Annie could come up with for the next paper was... not right for the school paper. So mainly she was staring at a blank notebook and nervously tapping her pen against it. A lot.
