"You have to trust that your recipient isn't going to deliberately twist your meaning. And if you expect them to do something (or not do something or whatever), you have to trust them to do it (or not).

"The message is a product of the sender. The trust comes from the sender, not the actual words themselves.

"If you don't trust yourself to make the message clear, you'll probably keep trying to clarify and ultimately end up just making things worse."
