The Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

For once, Jeremy actually came into the gym on purpose when the club fair was being set up. There was at least one club he knew he wanted to sign up for, after all.

So, he grabbed himself a copy of the club schedule, and set out to explore his options.

"What sort of insanity?" Lucrezia asked. "I'm afraid I don't know much about this island. I only arrived last autumn myself."

"Well, it looks like somebody used to do conversational translations for a language I've never heard of, and that was a weekly column somehow," Dave said. "So I think the traditional standard is literally whatever comes to mind."

"And I wouldn't be concerned about being too new. After all, I just came in last summer and I'm going to be running this thing."

"Are you seeking writers?" Lucrezia asked, lightly, running her fingers along the edge of the table. "I speak several languages, but I could not imagine writing a column about them. I could write one about my time in a nunnery, but I assure you, that was too dull to cover more than a week or two."

Minus certain complicating factors that she was not going to mention, such as her being with child at the time.

"I'm looking for anyone who wants to write. If they're actual writers, that's a bonus," Dave joked. Kind of. "And that could be pretty interesting. But after the nunnery, I think the important thing would be figuring out what about Fandom interests you enough to get you to write about it. Maybe something other students can relate to."

"If you think you might be able to come up with something along those lines, I'd be happy to have you on the team."

"I could do my best," Lucrezia offered. "Perhaps the other staff members might have their own suggestions as well. Should I fail, you will be no worse off than when you began."

"Should you fail, I'll find something for you to write. I can't guarantee I'll come up with the best stories, but I'll try," Dave said.
