Creature Languages, 02/06, Period 3

"Hello.

I hope you all enjoyed speaking with Racso on Thursday. You showed a nice grasp of conversational Rat.

For class today, I would like for you to pair up with someone you have not worked with in this class before and attempt to carry on a conversation in Rat about the events of this past weekend.

I am told there was singing. You do not need to sing in Rat.

Take notes on your conversations, as they will feed into a group project we will begin on Thursday.

I will be holding office hours this afternoon should you have questions.

Paige signs in as Cash attacks her feet, "best behaviour Cash!" she said looking down at him with a distinctly worried expression.

"Aw, he's a good fella. I'm sure you won't have any trouble with him."

Paige looks at the monkey, she thinks it just said something to her but she can't be sure. "Pippi, did Mr Neilson just speak to me?"

Pippi looks up from her rat vocabulary sheet from last week.

"Huh?" she sees the dog, "Hi Cash! Are you going to be attending class with us today?" she scritches him behind the ears, "Yeah! It's exciting isn't it?"

[[ooc: Actually, I selected the wrong icon, that was supposed to be Pippi. But we can roll with it this way. :)

Page smiles, "Yeah I'm taking care of him til Geoff gets back, only I have idea when that'll be, he wasn't in his office when I went to check."

"you'd think I'd be more suprised about a monkey talking to me wouldn't you? So erm what did he say?"

((that was my intial thought but then I though 'this is Fandom!' also I must flee for a few hours now, sorry))

"I was about to ask you the same question." said Pippi shrugging.

"What did you way Mr. Neilson?"

Mr. Neilson made his usual squeeky monkey noises and tried to look innocent.

[[ooc: Let's say that what you heard was in rat, since the class hasn't done monkey yet.

Paige continues to look confused, "okay then!"

((or that neither of us will know what he said until we learn monkey, since P just assumed he was talking to her because of how he was facing her, or whatever))

"I'm sorry, he can be sooo difficult sometimes."

Mr Neilson jumped down onto Cash and began to groom his head.

"Awww... How can I stay mad at that! ... So how did you end up with Cash?"

Cash actually seemed to like this and turned his head to sniff Mr Neilson as he groomed him.

"I'm just taking care of him until Geoff gets back, Doctor House figured seeing as I was staying at the shop anyway it made sense I guess."
