Student Council meeting (Lunch)

Josh put down his crossword puzzle when the Student Council arrived.

"Okay, we didn't get much accomplished last week. My political campaigning students are already tired of me saying this but if it's not on paper, it doesn't exist. So. Valentine's Day dance. It's been pointed out that that holiday," he made a face, "falls on a Tuesday this year. Does anyone have some kind of deeply felt belief that a dance on February 17th would be the worst thing ever? If you do, speak up now."

He looked down at his paper. "We also need to come up with finalized Spring Break trip dates. Classes are out March 6-10 with weekends on either side. How long would you like to be gone? And, um, where do you want to be going?"

He smiled at Isabel. "I like the idea of game night even if last weekend was bad because of, and I can't believe I'm saying this, snowmonsters. I'd say pick a night, toss up some posters and have fun."

He cleared his throat. "Our list of potential dances now includes prom, Arbor Day and something about square dancing that I'm really hoping you don't expect me to demonstrate because that's never going to happen."

Josh sat back down. "Old business, new business..." he waved his hand. "Whatever. Knock yourselves out."

Angel chuckled. "Nah. It was just a thing. Logan once asked - um - asked how many vamps lived back home. Nobody ever took a census, but I figured the population could only support so many, right? So work from there."

"Depends on a lot of variables though, doesn't it? Whether a vampire would drink all of somebody's blood or just take some or maybe several vampires would share one person which would skew the numbers and maybe even some vampires might have to take blood from animals like you or because they couldn't get a human and man...this conversation makes me not want to eat for a week."

"You can see why it's been taking more than one semester," Angel said.

"Yeah, no kidding man." Blair shrugged. "Okay, non-math related research. Let me know if you anything comes to mind."

"What about something for anthropology and the weird makeup of this place?" Angel suggested. "Gotta be a paper out of that, right?"

Blair grinned. "Man, I so already thought about that...but nobody would believe it!"

"People in my dimension would," Angel said. "Well, not everybody but there's places who'd publish you if you were good."

"I hadn't really thought about that. I could do a whole study on how people interact and people who have vastly different natures and cultures come together to learn and work and maybe even.." Blairs voice lowered as he yanked out a notebook and started scribbling muttering things like "aliens" "evil" and "cuukees"

"You might want to talk with some of the folks in Lana's club, too," Angel suggested. "People like me who come from weird hometowns, vs. those who didn't. Might help compare the experiences."

Blair nodded absentmindley. "Good, good, good."
