There was just the standard junk food today. No added extras. Ted is at the front of the room wearing a gas mask. Don't mind the heavy breathing and weird sounds. It's a side effect of what he's got.

"I've got, like, the Antarctic giraffe flu, dudes." Voo-ksh. "So keep back or the germs of doom'll come after you. More about Colonial music." Voo-ksh. "They like wailing and strings as well as their percussion. Wailing, strings and percussion. What's with that?" Voo-ksh. "Oh, and the Colonies can travel through space and stuff. I wonder what the acoustics are like on a space ship or a space suit." Voo-ksh. "Since there's no other noise in space, if you had music playing it'd be like really clear, so using stuff that echoes good like wailing and strings and drums in your music would totally add to the effect. So would electric guitars, but these dudes don't really use those." Voo-ksh.

If you were floating through space in a space suit until you ran out of air or burned up in a sun or hit a floating sperm whale, and you could only listen to one song or piece of music for the rest of your life because you're gonna die out there, what would you listen to? "Let My Love Open the Door by Pete Townsend," Marty said. "No question."

"Dude, you're way off. Blitzkrieg Bop by The Ramones," Cameron argued.

"You're both wrong," Angela says. "It should be something that makes you feel peaceful, and all that, right?"

"Hey... My song is peaceful. At least to me it is," Marty countered. "Though I have to agree that your song is better than Cam's."

Angela thinks about it for a second. "Okay, yours is peaceful. I just don't wanna go to my death to the strains of classic rock, y'know? Or punk. Though I want Cam to pick the music if I ever need to fight in a war, or something."

"Oh definitely. If the situation wasn't floating through space, I'd choose something different and more... um.. action-ey"

Cameron scowled at Marty. "Floor traitor."

"What? Because I question your song I'm a traitor to the floor?" Marty retorts. "How does that work?"

"Dude, you'll be peaceful for the rest of eternity. You want something that kicks ass and makes you go down in a flame." Cameron shakes his head.

"But wouldn't you already be freaked out? You don't need music that would make you spazz more."

"I'm with Cam," Pip said. "Maybe, I dunno, some German Industial. Like... Rammenstien! I always liked Engle."

"I'd probably listen to Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. It's long, so it wouldn't get too boring, and it has slow /and/ fast parts."

"Without even having to think about...Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Can't beat those guitar riffs man."

Sawyer nods eagerly, "Just what I was about to say. Lynyrd Skynyrd 'till death? Heck yes."

"Not what I'd go with, personally, but not bad."

"A floating...sperm...whale? Eh."

"You never know what you might run into in space, dude. And don't forget to answer the question."

"I would totally want music to calm and relax the floating sperm whale, so he will go to sleep and not ~~force~~ sperm-choke me. Something Chris Rea, something Enya. Even Charlotte Church, if you can stand it, but whatever it takes to calm the whale" Harry says, and goes back to cowering in a corner.

"I guess if I were floating through space, eventually floating to death, I'd want to listen to something that would take my mind off the inevitable. Something by the Eagles. Hotel California probably. I've always just found it very soothing."

She paused for a moment, and then giggling added, "But if I wanted to, say, go crazy before I died I'd listen to Wannabe by the Spice Girls. That would make me go nuts for sure."

"One of my parents' duets," Zero says without hesitation. "Don't know which one. Maybe 'Turkish Prison.'"

"Only one song, for the rest of my life? Well, how long's the rest of my life? I don't want something I'm not gonna get to finish listening to before I get eaten by a space whale or whatever."

"However long you last in your space suit, dude. It's totally up to you!"

"Ever the Same by Rob Thomas, it's just so earnest that I'd be glad when death came for me."

"Something... earnest." Bridge bounces. "It's hard to pick, though. There's this one song by this Rob Thomas guy that maybe..."
