School Announcements, 2/1/06
With a hum and a pop, the PA system comes alive. Not literally, but around here there's always that possibility. Today, however, it's Zordon's monotone that can be heard through the speakers, rather than Dewey's voice.
"Good morning, students, teachers, and beings of varying degrees of solidity. This is Dean Zordon. Substitute Principal Finn is not on the premises today; I have been informed that he is off-island for a 'gig.' Do not take advantage of his absence to get into trouble" There is a brief pause. "Furthermore, do not think that my lack of mobility prevents me from knowing what you get up to. I assure you I have had ample time to compensate for that inconvenience."
"Today there are only two announcements. First, in the unlikely event that a Flora expectorosis is sighted in the vicinity, all students are advised to avoid its energy-sucking blossoms. Second, Doctor Oliver has a highly entertaining story about the time he was baked into a giant pizza. I suggest you ask him sometime."
A brief digitized were-bear roar can be heard, faintly, in the background, as Zordon goes silent for a few moments.
"That will be all for the day. Please bear in mind that it is a sinister sign if a potted cactus can teleport on its own."
The PA system pops, hums, and fades out.
