"Stop by ou-my room later and I'll see what I can do."

Shit...why do I keep saying that? he thought, stuffing his mout with lunch.

Anders caught the verbal slip and gave Victor a sympathetic grin. He could remember exactly when he'd started doing the same thing.

Victor saw the grin, and after Walter left, looked down at his suddenly interesting plate. "What?"

Anders shook his head, still grinning, and rearranged a few grains of rice on his plate. "Nothin' really. Just made me realize I can't remember the last time I thought of my room as, you know, mine and not mine and Cally's. 'course it's officially both of ours now, but I mean before that."

Victor was suddenly interested in the conversation. "You two live together?"

"Yep, room 201," said Anders, nodding. "It just sorta happened, really. More and more of her stuff kept ending up in my room and we just decided we might as well. It's worked out pretty good, even though the room's kinda small."

He laughed. "That's why I have the weird keypad lock on my door. 'cause I never did figure out how to make her a copy of my key."

"I asked Dean Zordon," Vcitor smirked. "But..we don't really live together. I mean, he ahs my room, and I have mine. But..." He paused, then leaned in and lowered his voice. "I like falling asleep next to him. I mean...it's so confusing sometimes. We've only known each other since the first week here, and we're only fourteen. But...I love him, y'know? Not in a "diamonds are forever" kinda way, but...in my own way. 'Like' isn't strong enough of a word..."

Anders nodded, smiling as he wondered if this was what he sounded like to other people. "Totally, totally understand what you mean, man. After the first night Cally fell asleep in my room, it was like I couldn't sleep without her there any more. And yeah. Everything kind of came out of nowhere for us, but I've never known anything like it."

Victor nodded right back, understanding. "It's been like this train ride that never seems to end, and it's scary but so exciting that I don't wanna get off."

He took another bite and chewed thoughtfully.

"But I don't want him to move in with me completely, y'know? I don't think I'm ready for that. I like my privacy sometimes, and I think he does, too."

"I get that." Anders nodded, carved off a piece of chicken, and ate it. "I still worry about that sometimes, too. Least you're thinking about it, right? Thinking it through. With us it was sort of . . . well, it just happened and we never thought about it. It's just a good thing it worked out well, otherwise it coulda been nasty."

He played with his glass of milk, spinning it around on the table a couple of times before picking it up and draining it. "I mean, it's a really small room."

"Maybe you could ask to move into a bigger one?" Victor suggested. "My room's more than big enough for whenever Walter comes over. What room did you say you were in again?"

"201, right by the common room. I kinda thought about it for a while, except that we've got this really cool glow-in-the-dark star pattern on the ceiling now that Cally spent forever putting up. Looks just like the stars on Caprica, the way they look from her backyard at home." He shrugged, smiling vaguely off past Victor for a moment. "We're kinda used to it. And anyway, the common room's right next door so it's not that far if one of us, like, needs some extra space."

"See, this is why you should move up to the third floor. We have a lot more space." He took a sip of soda and grinned. "So, where did she get the stars from? I've been looking for some to put up in the room. I already freaked Walter out by getting a black light." He grinned again, this time proudly. "I glow in the dark."

"Glow in the dark? Dude, that's cool!" exclaimed Anders, grinning. "I dunno where she got 'em. They were a Christmas present from Krycek, she said."

"Dang. I guess I'll have to get them online or something."

Hs lunch finally finished, he gathered his trash and got ready to go. "Okay, I'm headed back to my room. I'll talk to ya later?"

Anders still had half of his lunch to go, so he grinned and gave Victor a friendly wave. "You got it, man. You know where I live now, too, so drop by sometime if you feel like it, 'kay?"

[OOC: Night -- sorry if I missed you, I had to run out for food.]

"Sure." he smiled and gave a little wave, then went off to go dump his tray.

[ooc: No worries. People actually do have lives around here. Not that you can always tell. ;)]

"Okay, I should probably get going, though. I will see you later."

"Bye. See you later." he waved as his boyfriend left.
