Blair looks up at the laughter and waves. "Funny book?"

She notices his notebook and highlighter in hand. "Oh, I amsorry...was my laughter bothering you dear?" she ask sincerely, closing her book. "You see, the school's radio station has recently stated that my singing is quite bothersome. So, I guess I should have assumed that I have an equally bothersome laugh I suppose." Jessica shrugs her shoulders and smiles at the friendly yet unfamiliar face.

Blair shook his head rapidly and grinned. "No way, man. I was just wondering what was so funny. I'm studying for my history test later today but your laughing isn't bothering me. In fact lots of researchers say that studying in a happy environment improves retention and comprehension."

He paused and frowned. "People on the radio said your singing is bothersome? That's really rude!"

Jessica smiles. "I suppose they do that for the ratings you know. Its quite alright. Besides, the person who did the radio show is really a very pleasant person, so he probably didn't mean anything by it." Jessica takes a sip of her water then folds her hands properly atop her closed book. "So, history? Sounds...historical." Jessica smiles and takes another sip of water.

"Still, I don't think that they should be allowed to slander people's abilities like that. Do you sing well?"

Blair bounced. "It's very historical. I'm excited about this test! It will only be the second test I've ever taken and I think I did well on my creature language test...even if I struggled through the spider translations."

"Not well enough I suppose" says Jessica with a little laugh.

"Spider translations? Huh. I see..." She thinks for a moment, then continues. "If only all spiders communicated with us the way Charlette did. Would have made your test much easier." Jessica gives a serious nod.

"Charlotte?" Blair bounced happily. "Do you know a talking spider? How did you learn the language? Did they have anything interesting to say?"

Jessica was a tad overwhelmed with the questioning, but smiles and waves her hands in front of her. "No, no no dear, I am sorry to disappoint you, but I have not actually meet this spider...but she's quiet famous. She can't even talk to people really but she talks to a pig you see...who talks to her and she, in turn, writes lovely messages in her webs. She either spelled out the pig's name...or the pigs grocery list..." Jessica thinks for a minute. "Oh! Who knows? I can't remember." She drinks the last of her water then smiles. "I don't believe I've introduced myself to you, have I dear? I am affriad I can't remember that either..."

"Whoa." Blair blinked. "Not only can she write, but she knows pig language as well! That's amazing!" Blair bounced and started scribbling in his notebook. "That's so totally cool!"

"I don't think I introduced myself either...I'm Blair Sandburg." He held out his hand in greeting.

"Jessica, Jessica Tate" she replies with a big smile, taking his hand in hers. "Blair...Blair...sounds familiar, then its like it doesn't, even though it does...hmmm."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jessica." Blair smiled happily. "That's...good I guess. It's a common name, I think...just not for boys. But my mom followed her own drummer, you know?"

Jessica nods and smiles. "Its nice that your mother was in a band dear...but really, you see your name...I've heard it before..."
*Long pause*
"You have my gloves!" She says excitedly with a big smile, proud she solved it.

"Not so much in a band, although she did hang out at a lot of festivals."

Blair looked at his non-gloved hands for a minute until something clicked. "Oh! From Angel?"

Oh Angel. She so didn't sigh. Really. Ok she did.

"Yes. Right!" she said quickly.

Blair frowned at the sigh. "Is everything okay?"

"Thanks for the gloves, they were very warm!"

"Oh yes dear, everything is wonderful," she says, although it may not sound all that convincing. "And, well, they're not really from me you see, as they were of course from Angel...but if you do need anything else please make sure to let me know. He told me about your current situation so please, anything, let me know. Okay?" asks Jessica with a warm smile.

Blair flushed a little. "Thanks very much, but I'm good. Everyone has helped me out and things are getting on track. Plus I got a job in town so I'm getting paid now."
