Athletic Clubs

I cannot believe I am posting this, but I do feel some interaction is necessary.

Is there anyone interested in a kendo/fencing club? I fear I am not familiar with the western form of swordfighting, but I am quite competent in basic kendo, as well as my own school of fighting. I would not be against instructing basic kendo, but would need a co-captain for Western swordfighting ... if there is a call for it.

Of course, this all depends on whether or not the athletic instructor will sponser us ... or maybe some other faculty member will? Suggestions would be appreciated.

Fencing? Very interesting. Have you ever played Kosho?

I want to take swordfighting!

Ah, fencing. The one bright spot in my otherwise pain-ridden life. If you do manage to defeat the overwhelmingly oppressive odds against you in creating this, may I join your club?

Does it have to be swords? I'm a pretty decent hand with a lightsaber.

And if you're looking for a sponsor, maybe the Philosophy teacher would be interested in helping? He might not look it, but Master Yoda can totally kick ass.

Um. How to explain a lightsaber...think sword, but instead being made of metal, it's a glowing beam of energy that can cut through absolutely anything.

And it's shiny. I can bring mine with me to the first practice if it'll help you understand.

If you aren't able to locate a sponser, I would be willing to do so. I do not fence, but I enjoy watching it.

*smiles* Just let me know when you've decided the club will meet and precisely what it will entail. I would be glad to render any assistance I am able to.

Like the emo kid said, are swords a requirement? Cause I'm good with swords, but I love my axe.

Count me in...

...I like threatening people playing with sharp pointy objects.

I'm in. Hopefully I can find an opponent as good as the one at my previous school...though a few times, she was really mad at me and I sort of feared for my life, y'know.

Ah! Fencing! Now, that sounds like something I would love to master.
Count me in!!

Fencing sounds pretty neat. Count me in.

Don't know much about fencing, darlin'. Sounds a bit poncy to me. I'm not a bad hand with a blade, though, if I do say so meself. None of that fancy stuff, though. Just cut and do the job and move on. Wouldn't mind pickin' up a few pointers, though, especially if that librarian chappie is goin' to be demonstrating.

Swords? Sure, this sounds interesting. I'll sign up for it.

I would love to participate.
