Principal Dewey's Adopted Office, 1/30/06

Dewey wanders into his appointed office, ignoring the rather creative and unique in-box, and sits at the very shiny and well-finished desk. He drums his fingers, and picks up the phone reciever.

"Principal Finn!" He scowls and sets the phone down again and picks it up. "Dewey Finn, Principal!" He shakes his head. "No, no, too..." he drums his fingers and replaces the phone again. He then grabs it and says "Principal of Rock, Dewey Finn!" He nods. "Yes, perfect."

He hangs up the phone again and drums on his desk, and starts opening the drawers. "Oooh, jackpot," he says, and pulls out a box of Hostess cupcakes. "Best. Job. Ever."

He unwraps a cupcake, looks around to see if anyone is watching, and shoves the entire thing into his mouth.

"End of the week," Dewey says, and scribbles himself a note. "Thanks for giving me a heads up. And you can just call me Dewey. Though I guess we won't really have a chance to get to know each other or anything. But, yeah. Dewey's just fine with me." He smiles warmly.

"Anything else I can do, or is that all?"

"No. That's all." The conversation was far less painful that he'd expected. "I appreciate your time, Dewey. Sorry to throw this at you out of the blue."

"Hey, trial by fire and all that," Dewey nods. "Glad I could help, if just a teeny bit. Thanks, man."

"Yeah. Take care." House heads for the door. He feels like weight has been lifted off his shoulders, and at the same time he feels sad about it. He shrugs and heads over to the humanities wing to sit in on Geoff's class.

Geoff. He's going to have to tell Geoff. He takes a deep breath and keeps walking.
