The happy humming from the kitchen today might be interspersed with occasional worrisome chuckles. Today's menu is written in neat block letters:

- Fettucine Alfredo (with chicken and/or broccoli)

- Steamed Carrots

- Roast Beast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding

- Pad Thai

- Minestrone

Dessert:
- Lemon Sherbet

- Snow Cones

"Cool. Walter'll bring stew, I'm probably gonna cook hot dogs, and you can make cookies. All we need now is some Chinese take-out and a variety of beverages and we got a party! Unless Pip wants to bring something, too..."

Although involved in a conversation of her own, Jessica notices Victor out of the corner of her eye. Not wanting to disturb any conversation he might be having, and not wanting to appear rude to the person she was conversing with, she offers a kind smile and a small wave to Victor.
