Lunch: 1/30/06

The happy humming from the kitchen today might be interspersed with occasional worrisome chuckles. Today's menu is written in neat block letters:

- Fettucine Alfredo (with chicken and/or broccoli)

- Steamed Carrots

- Roast Beast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding

- Pad Thai

- Minestrone

Dessert:
- Lemon Sherbet

- Snow Cones

This was more fun that food any day. Jack shoves his plate away and grins at John. "Why, Crichton, I had no idea you wanted to... taste me."

"What?" John finally realizes what he's just said and turns a very bright shade of red. "Wait, I didn't mean that like it sounded. I mean...maybe, you, uh...look a snow monster!"

And John points to somewhere near the door.

"Uh-huh. Snow monsters generally don't come into hot, steamy places. You know, like a cafeteria. And, apparently, your secret imaginations. Tell me more."

John's still blushing. Nice.

"Just because I've seen you naked," John says, shaking his head, "doesn't mean I dream or have ever dreamt about you!"

"So what am I doing in these dreams?" Jack asks, thinking that maybe he should have taken the Jung class this semester.

"Getting your ass kicked," John grumbles. "By my grandma."

Jack grins some more. "Hell, man, I had no idea you were so kinky. So after I've been beaten down... what happens. Come on, they say it's good to open up about these things." Jack's food is getting cold, and he so doesn't care.

John actually bangs his head against the table.

"I don't dream about you," he finally says. "I see enough of you in my waking hours to satisfy me."

Oh, such a wrong thing to say.

"Satisfied?" Jack purrs. "I can't imagine that just seeing me is satisfying. Unless you've got a peephole into my bedroom. Or bathroom. Or both. In which case, I should tell Kara. And Lee. Or let you bribe me to not tell Kara and Lee."
