Medical Post: The Gym

Susan, Zhaan, and others have numerous cots set up with dividers, and a table with their instruments in one corner of the gym. They are treated the injured and preparing for more casualties. After some quick and hasty introductions, they got ready for any incoming patients and hoped there wouldn't be any.

ETA: Post is closed to new play as of 11:22 EST. If you're injured, come into the clinic tomorrow-- the doctors are as fried as their players.

"A firefighter? The firefighters in my hometown wouldn't know a bandage if it hit them square in the face, let alone a scalpel. They put fires out just fine though, and even save kittens from trees. Glad to see that the past fifty years have given firefighters more skills. Saves me having to do all the hard work."

"Apparently he's not human, so anything's possible." Hawkeye started to extract one of the pieces out. "Just make sure he stays stable. That's all we can do. Having his medical records would be nice, but it's a little late for that."

"Job requirement," Tommy said. "Can't give this little prick a new liver but basics, breathing, heart attack - hell even a pregnant woman I can handle. Where you from anyway?"

"A delightful little place called Crabapple Cove in Maine, circa 1958."

One piece was done. That was the hardest. He focused for a while on the other ones until he was almost done. There were just a few up the top that needed dealing with that had already melted. It was just a matter of making sure they didn't need stitches, or if they did, that they were stitched correctly.

"New York, circa now," Tommy replied. "Though I gotta tell you, after today you are the least weirdest shit that I've been introduced to."

Hawkeye grinned behind his mask. "Fandom certainly has its surprises." He glanced over at Susan. "I'm good. Almost done. He's holding up well." Hawk glanced up to the IV they'd set up. "He's going to need some more blood, but since he's not human I don't want to risk giving him something his body will reject. I've managed to patch up the worst of it before he bled too much. He'll be weak, but hopefully the illusive Doctor House will be able to help him out once we get to the clinic."

"We've got blood at the clinic in town," Tommy said. "Don't know if we keep stock in any of this magic blood made out of chocolate bullshit, but if we do, have at. The other docs are too busy jerking off to care."

Hawkeye was silent for the rest of the time. He stitched up the last wound and put the instruments back on the tray. He pulled off his gloves and pulled down his mask. "Let's get him to the school clinic."

"I'll help carry," Tommy said.
