Medical Post: The Gym

Susan, Zhaan, and others have numerous cots set up with dividers, and a table with their instruments in one corner of the gym. They are treated the injured and preparing for more casualties. After some quick and hasty introductions, they got ready for any incoming patients and hoped there wouldn't be any.


ETA: Post is closed to new play as of 11:22 EST. If you're injured, come into the clinic tomorrow-- the doctors are as fried as their players.

"Thanks," said Anders again. Then, belatedly realizing Hawkeye had asked for the room number, he called out, "Oh, it's room 201!"

And winced. That hurt.

"She's okay, then." Anders exhaled sharply in relief, winced again at the pain in his ribs, and lay back on the cot. "Thanks, man."

Cally, after a short while, heads down and smiles sheepishly at Anders. Her eyes are definitely red from crying, her hair is a little mussed, and she's still all bundled up from the Echolls Excursion.

"Hi," she says, biting her lower lip.

"Coach!" Anders sits up abruptly, then -- "Ow. Ow ow frak!" He doubles over, clutching at his ribs for a second, then looks up at Cally with a hint of tears in his eyes.

"You're okay. You're here. Thank the Lords."

"Sorry I didn't come earlier," she says, scuffing the floor a bit with her toe. "I... I... I frakked up and got scared."

"I'm just glad you're here," says Anders, scooting over to the edge of the cot and reaching out to grab her hand. "Had no idea if you were even okay."

"Well, I guess I'm better than you." Cally rubs Anders' hand with her thumb and sniffles a bit. "I shoulda tried to find you."

"I got thrown into a wall." Anders's eyes widen. "I was scared you were trying to do that, actually. Just wanted you to be safe, 's all."

He looks around at the noise and bustle in the clinic and gives her a weak smile. "C'n we take me home now?"

"Yeah," Cally nods. "Put your arm over my shoulder, okay? I wanna make sure you don't fall over or nothin'."

Anders nods, gets slowly to his feet, and drapes an arm gingerly around Cally's shoulders. "Point me in the right direction, coach," he says. "Still not quite sure where I'm goin'."

"Any time. The first sign of anything strange, like shortness of breath or if you feel like you're going to pass out, you get her to call me, understood? I'll come to you. Room 201?"
