Medical Post: The Gym

Susan, Zhaan, and others have numerous cots set up with dividers, and a table with their instruments in one corner of the gym. They are treated the injured and preparing for more casualties. After some quick and hasty introductions, they got ready for any incoming patients and hoped there wouldn't be any.


ETA: Post is closed to new play as of 11:22 EST. If you're injured, come into the clinic tomorrow-- the doctors are as fried as their players.

Lucas stepped up to Angela and smiled slightly at her. "Let's take a look at that." He examined the side of her hand, then frowned at the wrist. He pushed her sleeve up away from the burn and grabbed a cold cloth, pressing it very gently against the injury. "Looks like you should be okay."

Angela nods, relaxing as the coolness from the cloth numbs the burn. "Didn't think I was going to die, or anything," she says. "It just hurt a lot."

"I'm Angela, by the way. You aren't a student, are you?" He looks a little old, but some students just do.

Lucas shook his head, digging around for a bandage to keep the cooled, minor burns clean. "Lucas. And, no, I'm not a student. I'm opening a record store in town."

"Oh, cool. I worked at the one that was here this fall, but it closed." She looks a little wistful. "I loved that job."

"So how'd you end up doing the first aid thing here?"

Lucas shrugged. "I'm not a fighter. I built some barricades, then came to see if they needed my help here. Do you get attacked often?"

"Not like this," Angela says. "We had some zombies in September, but since then, nothing. Unless you count vampires." She makes a face as she says the word. "And even they only bother people once in a while, and people are trying to kill them."

"It's not your average little town. But you probably kind of knew that."

Lucas raised an eyebrow and nodded. "I had noticed." He wrapped the bandage gently across her hand and wrist. "You'll want to keep that dry."

Angela flexes her wrist back and forth experimentally; the bandage seems secure.

"Thanks so much, Lucas. Should I put my glove back on over it, or just keep it in my pocket or something? I'm thinking snow's probably not so good for it."

Lucas tilted his head. "It would keep the burn cool. . . . As long as you don't put too much pressure on it, putting a fresh glove on shouldn't be a problem."

"I have a clean set back in my room," Angela nods. "Okay, I'll do that."

"Thanks again, Lucas. I'll totally be in your shop once it opens. What's it going to be called?"

Lucas nodded at her thank you. "Empire Records and Bidet. I'll put up posters once it gets set up."

"Awesome. I'll remember the bidet part," Angela says, and heads back to the roof.
