Outside the Gym...

Togusa was now arguing with a think tank, and losing.

"Togusa does not go out in this weather. I don't care if it is to find Batou! You stay where it's warm and you don't need new cyberparts from frostbite!"

"Come on, it's a short jaunt," Togusa growled. "You're heated on the inside." He loooked over at Walter. "A little help here?" He waved at the tank, raising an eyebrow. A.I. could be a bitch sometimes.

Walter shook his head and laughed. "You are having a fight with a machine and you want my backup?"

He glanced over at the bouncing Tachikoma, "No offense, Tachi."

"None taken Walter! Togusa should know better." The tank did it's best impression of a glare. "You think Batou would want you to get hurt if you went out? I can drive, but I'm not. I don't want you to get hurt!" The tank rose up and actually Huffed before rolling outside to go into the gardeners shack.

Togusa turned and kicked at the wall. "Goddammit!"

Walter turned away and went back into the gym before Togusa saw him laughing.

"Funny. Very funny. If it was Victor...?" Togusa asked.

Walter stopped and turned around. "If what was Victor?" Remarkably, his voice may have suddenly become slightly chillier than the temperature outside.

Togusa folded his arms. "Out there in this storm. Wouldn't you want to look for him?" He sighed, looking tired.

"How capable of taking care of himself is this person you want to find?"

Togusa shrugged. "Capable enough, last time I saw him. But he mentioned something to me that I have no memory of, which makes me worry. He alluded to that I was already part of Section Nine."

Walter frowned and thought of the Elrics. "Are you sure he has no head injuries, because if he does not, around here, he could be telling you exactly his truth."

"I don't know. He told me in a voicemail that I was standing alongside Aramaki and nodding when the old man told him he needed a vaction." He leaned against a wall. "His truth? Like your truth is different from mine? Time wise?"

"My roommate has a brother here and they remember different things. I just wonder if you might have a similar circumstance with your friend."

"Guess I'll know when I talk to him on Sunday..." Togusa said. "I hope it's nothing bad." He clapped Walter on the shoulder. "Sorry for getting tense with you. I just need to sleep or something." He wandered back into the gym and looked for a place to drop.

Walter followed Togusa inside and returned to the food line (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/570218.html?thread=26777450#t26777450) to inform Alfred that he wasn't leaving and get back to work.
