Josh waited for the Student Council members to come into the classroom before he put down his copy of the Montana newspaper he was reading.

"First of all, the votes have been counted. Congratulations to Callisto, our new Student Council president."

Josh looked down at the piece of paper where he had scrawled notes from last week. "I took some of your ideas to the administration, and they seem to be fine with them. You need to set up some hard dates if you want them to be implemented, especially for a senior trip, a spring break trip, Spirit Week, and any dances you're interested in hosting. Valentine's Day is coming up," Josh looked distinctly underwhelmed by the approach of the holiday, "so you should probably tackle that one first. But getting dates for everything else would make everyone's lives easier."

He looked at Parker. "I heard that you got some interesting results for your survey at the club fair--care to share with the group?"

[OOC: As before, slowplay is our friend to make sure that everyone on the council gets a chance to chat.]

"Excuse you?" Parker smirked. "You have a problem with this scenario? Spit it out."

"Yeah, it's not a field trip to the ~~Jeffersonian~~Smithsonian," Angel said. "I don't want anybody out there who can't hold their own."

"And I'm not going to be the one to tell Angela to stay," Parker said evenly. "We'll cover her in crosses before we go, and like I said, grenades. I don't think we can stopher, anyway. She'll just follow us if we say no."

"Fine, I'll be the one to tell her," Angel said. "We need fighters, not bait. If she wants to help she can stay out of the way."

Parker shrugged. "I don't think that'll fly with her. But you're welcome to try. I assume Callisto's coming along too?"

"Yes, because she can fight," Angel said. "Notice a theme to my guest list?"

"Yes. They're willing to fight. Any other thoughts on the people I'm inviting to this party, along with my gate-crashing self?"

"I don't know enough about Sam to judge. Can she handle a weapon?"

"Yes. She's in Gun Club, unlike some throwbacks. And she's beaten me at hand-to-hand." She glared at him. "And I've beaten Cam. So if you're taking him, I'm going too."

"Never said you couldn't."

"Good." Parker glared at him, then subsided. "I would have hurt you for it. Tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow."

And Parker had to be content with that.

But she made a mental note to force him to speak in more than one-word sentences, just to prove he could, before they headed out.

No one wanted the Team Captain to revert to Cro-Magnon on top of the bloodsucking.
