Angela snorts. "No fucking kidding. I did some research on vampires last semester, and -- someone in this town should have been able to kill them by now, whether it's the troopers or just one of the random people with superpowers. They're way too lucky, to get away with this for so long."

"Maybe the snow will keep them inside for a while," she says, but she doesn't look entirely hopeful.

"And I found out ... pretty much what you would think from movies, I guess, though they don't all have Romanian accents. They're different from world to world, but the ones we have here are really strong and fast and don't like sunlight or holy water. To kill them, you can behead them, set them on fire, or shove a stake into their hearts. The hard part is getting them to stay in one place long enough to do it."
