Sex Cultures: 6th Period

Grissom has a headache so he, without explanation, pulls a TV unit in and screens some old school sex-ed and hygiene films for the students, which certainly wasn't on the syllabus yet.

He feels the need to share his own high school torment with the youth of today. Or in some cases, the youth of eternity. Whatever.

Then he assigns The Role of Theory in Sex Research, which is 368 pages of absolutely no fun whatsoever, for the weekend.

He looks up from his desk, eyes a little red.

"Huh?"

"What's wrong, babe?" she asks softly, coming inside.

"Headache," he mutters. "You done for the day?"

"I'm done. And I have ibuprofen in my bag," she says quietly, fishing out the bottle. "Do you have any water?"

"In my office, maybe. I don't know."

He starts to collect his things slowly. "I'll be fine by tomorrow, it's okay."

"Let's get you home. And you can take generic painkillers--there's no sense in suffering needlessly."

He nods, and takes the pills from her, swallowing them dry.

"Thanks."

"How was class?" She picks up her bag from the floor.

"One of my more industrious students managed to procure a copy of the complete Kama Sutra," he says softly, standing up and walking over to the door with her as he pulls on his coat.

"For educational purposes, he assured me."

A blink. "I sincerely hope he wasn't looking for an in-class demonstration."

She takes his hand after he's locked the door behind them.

"No, no lab portion to this section of the course, I'm afraid."

She shivers, wishing she'd worn her gloves. "I didn't look at the weather today. We may be in for a storm."

"More like an army of killer snowmen, or rabid ice faeries. Smells like snow, doesn't it?" he says most un-scientifically.

"After you," he says gently, opening the door to the dorm lobby for her, and letting go of her hand to guide her inside by the small of her back.
