There were times when Nadia had trouble understanding what Xander was saying. She usually blamed it on English not being her first language, but she was starting to wonder if English wasn't Xander's first language, either. "Oh," she said. "I guess I should watch an episode."

"It's on a lot, on one cable channel or other," Xander said. "In fact I've got this secret suspicion it's on 24 hours a day, if you channel-flip fas enough."

Nadia giggled. "You should check. Make a party of it, or something, and take bets on which channel it'll be on." Lord knows, the Americans had enough channels to choose from. . . .

Xander raised an eyebrow. "Ooh, yeah. Bitterwoman drinking game, maybe. You change channels at every commercial, and you have to take a shot depending on what's happening when you hit an episode - one for magic control-top pantyhose, one for every time she gets rear-ended driving the invisible VW Bug, chug when you actually see her smile... And whoever guessed the right channel is immune from having to drink until the next round."

Nadia raised her eyebrows. "I think it sounds like a plan. Well, maybe not drinking for the whole 24 hours, but a plan, nonetheless."

Xander snickered. "Clearly a plan that is not for a school night, though. At least not for people with classes anytime the next day in the morning."
