Today, guys? Easy class. Take this online Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator ~~or copy/paste what you think your IC result would be from this result list~~ and gimme your results. We'll talk about them later in the week.

Anakin, looking thoughtful, took the test.

"INTJ," he said as he tabulated the results. "That sounds about right."

"Sounds like you'd almost have to be," said Jenny. "For the work that you're training to do as a Jedi. Do you think that the Jedi select for those traits, or train people to exhibit them?"

Anakin looked down at his results. "I'm borderline between intuitive and sensing, as well as between judging and perceiving." He read the descriptions of thosse personalities as well. "And some of these would describe other Jedi I know--my old teacher has much more of a sense of obligation than I feel."

He yanked at his braid. "I think that Jedi training hone these particular aspects of your personality--you're taught to go focus on what's happening at the moment, to keep yourself open to possibilities, and to spend a lot of time in reflection, often in solitary reflection." He smiled. "I can see how this might rub people of different personalities the wrong way."

*Hamlet takes the test, carefully considering the questions. He checks his score against the answer key.*

INFP (http://www.typelogic.com/infp.html). I suppose that sounds close enough to the truth.

"Thanks, Hamlet. So, 'close enough?' What do you think the differences might be?"

Angel went through the test, calculated the results, and came up with ENFP. Which was odd, since bare minimum he would've thought of himself as an introvert.

He studied the paperwork Jenny had given them to see if he could find out more about his result.

"I'm a champion?" He snorted derisively. "Ms. Calendar, no offense but I think this whole thing's bunk."

"Well, you never know," said Jenny. She'd have pegged Angel for a ~~brooder~~ introvert. If the Powers That Be were interfering in her classes, she was going to have words with someone. Not that she was sure who. But someone. She grinned at Angel. "So what makes you think it's bunk?"

"To start with, how can you possibly narrow somebody's personality down to four letters?" Angel asked. "We're far too complicated for that. Plus I am not an extrovert!"

"Well, you're right in that there are a lot of concerns with the scientific validity of the test," said Jenny. "But it can be a useful tool for self-analysis. I think you're focusing a bit too much on the extrovert thing. Because honestly? You might have a few tendencies in that direction ~~when fighting evil, at least~~. Maybe the test is picking up on that?"

"Hitting people with swords counts as being extoverted now?" Angel sounded as though this was good news as far as he was concerned.

"I think it definitely counts," said Jenny. Then she frowned. "When'd you pick up the sword-wielding gig? I don't remember that from Sunnydale."

"I have hobbies," Angel replied.

Jenny grinned. "Didn't know that was one of them."

"INFJ," Rory said. "Huh. I guess that's right, yeah."

"INTJ, which I think is pretty accurate."

Hee! Isn't it a fun test to take for your characters? My result for Jenny was ENFJ, which I agree with.

I've taken the Myers-Bridge test for myself, and I usually end up testing as INFJ (http://www.typelogic.com/infj.html).

Isn't it a fun test? I wish I could remember what my usual result is, but I always come up as an exrovert. :)
