Introduction to Political Science

OOC: All sections and Independent Study should comment to any course post. It feels really silly to post the same thing a couple times over.

In dealing woith political science, we will have an overview of different types of governance to understand the politics within.

Today we will discuss these systems: Democratic, Authoritarian, and Totalitarian. Who can tell me what they are. We all come from different places. Which do you think your own government's style is? Please explain in a one page paper for next week.

I believe that our government is in the gray area between a monarchy and an oligarchy. We have an emperor and so on and so forth, but our government is structured so that the hereditary houses (who generally rule one or two planets) hold the same amount of power as the monarchy and a group of extremely influential tradesman operating under the CHOAM banner.
