"I think Colonel Houston faced one of the toughest decisions one can face in battle. Weighing the lives of a few against the lives of many is a tough choice. While modern military tries to uphold a policy that no one gets left behind, that isn't always possible. Sometimes, like in this case, sending forward troops to save a few can end up in the loss of more lives in the long run. It's important to value the life of an individual, but a soldier is trained to put his life at stake and when the loss of a few means the survival of others and possibly even more civilians."
