Club Fair, the gym, Friday after classes

After leaving her classes, Jaye heads to the gym to start setting things up. To say she's disgruntled would be putting it mildly. She's practically datgruntled, too.

Lucky for her, Muppet chickens are easily bribeable, and they help shove tables into place and stick up signs for each one.

There are tables set up throughout the gym, each with a sign taped to the front with the name of the club. Student sponsors should probably be behind it if they want to sell their club. On each table is a clipboard to use when you sign up, but otherwise, you have all that space to put stuff on display or whatever.

Jaye sends the chickens to do their thing (and it's not her fault if a couple stick around to watch the show) takes a seat behind the table nearest to the door to do her thing. If you're rude, you might get thwapped with a clipboard.

[OOC: OCD THREADS COMING. Post now and I keel you. ARE UP.

All new clubs have a thread. Drop off a registration form with Jaye, and then go find your table and sell it.

All students have to either have a job or sign up for a club. Therefore, go find something. IF YOU DON'T SIGN UP, YOU ARE NOT CONSIDERED A MEMBER. So do so.]

"Very much the same," Angel said. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Got a date tonight. Hopefully it goes as well as the first one. We're doing a movie so that cuts down on the talking."

"Talking is something we've never had a problem with. I mean, we weren't even thinking things were going that way and then suddenly, they did, er, were." Lana smiles and blushes a little.

"Funny, though. I don't think we've actually been out on a date. We seem to be doing lots of things backwards here, but... it's working for us. Good luck on the date, by the way. I'm sorry I forgot to ask how the last one went before."

"S'okay, we've both been busy," Angel said. Then, remembering one of the last times he saw Lana, he frowned. "Hey, everything going okay with you and the punching bag?"

"Oh, that," Lana looks a little embarrassed. "Yeah. I finally gave up and just moved out of my room. Got a single on the fourth floor. Things were just... bad, you know?"

Angel looked concerned. "Sorry to hear that. What happened? Or do you not want to talk about it?"

"I just wasn't comfortable having Sawyer around. He just seemed to be getting more and more aggressive and after I found out about him hitting Maia over New Year's... And then he and Paige got into it and she asked him to move out, but then let him stay... I didn't feel really safe there." Lana looks uncomfortable about saying anything negative about them. "I stayed with Shep while things sorted themselves out and then applied for a room change."

"Sounds like a smart idea," Angel said. He mused on what she'd told him. "Man, what is it with Haliwells and men who are bad for them?"

"Yeah, well, much as I enjoyed being with Shep, we kind of both needed our own space. And after he gave me hell for *not* staying with him the one night I stayed in the common room rather than wake him up and bother him..." She shrugged. "I knew I had to do something."

"I don't know what it is about that either. Though, I somehow missed out on the fact that Belthazor was a demon till the dance last week." Lana looks a little chagrined at being that naive.

"About the only somewhat normal boyfriend in the bunch is Lindsey," Angel said, "and he wants to be a lawyer so..."

"A demon, a con artist, and a lawyer - but I repeat myself," Lana joked.

Angel laughed. "Exactly." He checked his watch. "Okay, I better scoot. Got clubs to sign up for, a dinner to cook, and a date this evening. Hopefully I won't screw any of that up."

"You seem pretty frighteningly competent to me, so I doubt you'll have any trouble," Lana said with a smile. "I'll see you around."
