Student Council meeting [Lunch time]

Josh sat at his desk eating a sandwich and flipping through the Washington Post as he waited for the members of the Student Council to arrive.

He pointed to the sign-in sheet when they arrived. "Welcome to the new incarnation of the Student Council. I know most of you, but for those I don't, I'm Josh Lyman. I teach history, government, and politics now, but up until a few weeks ago, I was the deputy chief of staff for the Bartlet Administration. I'm here to tell you that actual politics bears a shockingly close resemblance to Student Council work--the only difference is the national government has more funding and we spend less time worrying about school spirit and pep rallies."

Josh swung his feet onto his desk. "Because there are twelve of you representing the various classes here, I want you all to have an equal say--but we do need one person to be more equal than others. Someone who wants to be in charge. Someone who, and this is very important, isn't me."

He rubbed his hands through his hair. "First order of business, then: who wants to be President?"

[OOC: slowplay will be our friend as to make sure all StuCo members in various timezones can play, too.]

Having brought lunch per Josh's request, Angel sipped pig's blood out of a coffee mug. He looked somewhat rattled. Could be from class with Josh earlier that day, could be because of the muppet chickens.

Blair held up a bag of granola. "You want some man? How's it going?"

"I'm good," Angel said, demurring from the food as well. "Oh, hey ~~since we're both in StuCo, fancy that!~~ you doing anything tomorrow night?"

Blair thought for a second, "I don't think I have anything going on. Why?"

"Think you might be up for some babysitting?" Angel asked. "I've got a date with Callisto and I'm pretty sure John and Aeryn are going to be busy. It'd be a huge favor to me if somebody was watching Sean."

"Me?" Blair bounced crazily. "Really? Of course, man! I mean I'd totally love too. I can play with him and give him a walk and he can sleep in my bed and introduce him to Hank and..." Blair grinned up at Angel and reigned himself a bit, only bouncing a little. "Yes. I think could handle that."

Angel beamed. "Great! He totally adores you. I know he'll be in good hands. I'm not putting you out or anything, am I? Tell me if I am. And who's Hank?"

"Awesome, man! I'm so pumped, I've never dog-sat before but I promise I'll do a good job and when are you going to pick him up? It's no problem at all!" Blair grinned.

"Man, that's right, you haven't met Hank yet! Hank is my new potted (http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a144/footontheground/LS020531.jpg) plant. It's something that I can talk to and it's sorta like a pet. Except it's a plant. Well...really now it's a seed in a pot, but it's going to be a plant soon!"

"Congratulations," Angel said. "You might want to keep Hank on a shelf just so Sean doesn't knock him over.

"Pickup. Huh. Don't know how late the date's going to go. Don't want to wake you up if you're sleeping. How about I drop him off tomorrow afternoon and pick him up sometime Saturday? You'll need to take him for a walk at night and in the morning ~~which you don't actually have to RP if you don't want to~~. Is that still okay?"

"No problem. I promised Hank that I'll keep him safe." Blair bounced. "Saturday morning is good, that way you'll get lots of rest after your date. Don't worry about me and Sean...I'll walk him and make sure everything's great!"

"Great!" Angel gave Blair a friendly clap on the shoulder. "Thanks. I owe you one. How's things going by the way? Still feeling sick?"

"Nah, man. I'm over the flu, but I gave it to Dr. Wilson which sucks." Blair thought for a moment. "Other than that, everything's great!"

"I'd say, especially since you won." Angel smiled at him. "Congratulations, by the way. I really think you'll be great at this."

Pip noticed Angel and wandered over. "Hey, don't think I've met you. Pip Bernadette."

"I don't think we have either," Angel said. He held out his hand to shake. "Angel. Senior. Nice to meet you."

Pip shook his hand. "So, animal? Vegetable? Mineral? Demon? Alien? Vampire? Mutant? Robot? Am I close at all?"

"Vampire," Angel said. "Though given how attractive I am to chickens and girls who think they're dogs, it's possible animal or vegetable is on the list. You?"

"Human. Though since I've had more millitary training then a lot of special forces members, I probably still don't quite qualify as normal. Which kind of means I fit right in, don't you think?"

"Around here abnormal is normal," Angel agreed. "What kind of military?"

"Mercenary," Pip responded. "I was raised by my grandfather who runs a mercenary company, and the mercenaries raised me. Since they're made up of people from everywhere and since we've worked with a bunch of different millitaries, I've picked up all sorts of things. Krav from the Isrealli defense force, survival techniques from Army Rangers, all sorts of stuff."

"Sounds like you know a lot about fighting," Angel said. "How are you with weapons and hand to hand?"

"Well, not to be overly arrogant, but pretty damn good. Like I said, I've been trained by special forces people. And fighting is in my blood. My family's been doing it for generations. Hell, if you're two centuries old, chances are you've fought a couple of my ancestors. I've got a good survey of various millitary hand to hand combat techniques and I'm studying savate. As for weapons... ask Shep about my weapon collection I have locked up sometime."

"Be interested in training with me in the gym sometime?" Angel asked. "I've got the super speed and strength on my side, but I am way out of practice. I want to be in fighting form by the time I graduate."

Pip laughed. "Sure, why not? I've already got Cam and Paige learning from me. No problem at all. How much do you know to begin with? Just so I get an idea of where to start."

He thought about lighting a cigarette, but decided that it wouldn't be the best idea in the teacher's room. "Why do you want to be in fighting form by graduation?"

"I know various forms of martial arts, my favorite weapon is a sword but I can work with axes, knives, and obviously stakes. Guns too but they're not as useful against what I fight," Angel rattled off. "And because I'm looking to go into the demon and vamp destroying business when I get back home. At least, go into it on my own anyway."
