Office Hour

She's on the phone with Donna...no, not Angel or Jake...actually Donna. Grissom got her to missing Vegas and she's arranging a little vacation...

Sliding her arm around his shoulders, she pulls him to her. "If you think that, then I just didn't raise you right. I love you, sweetie. One little fight isn't going to change that. I mean, Jesus, if you could have seen how my dad and I fought when I was a teenager...this is nothing. Just normal. All in there with that gift with purchase." She rests her head against his and kisses his temple softly.

"I love you. Chip."

"And you're special why? I get angry at everybody. It doesn't mean I go around hating the whole world. Name one person I got angry with that I'm still angry with. Besides Drusilla. She doesn't count because that was way more than anger."

She kisses him again softly, "I was a wreck the very next day, Jack. I don't ever want to fight with you...but it happens. We're just human. Do you...I mean...do you hate me?"

"No!" he said instantly. "No, no, no. I just..." He leaned into her. "I love you. And you're the only one who's ever loved me. And I don't understand how I didn't ruin that."

She squeezes his hand and pulls it to her mouth to kiss.

"Besides, I think there's a rule about teenaged boys not getting their mothers. It might even be a law."
