Bel just happened to be passing by CJ's office on the way to class, enabling him to be called into the office should there be any random need to do so.

Watching him pass ~~in a totally not contrived way~~, she hollers out her open door, "BELTHAZOR! GET IN HERE!"

Bel jumped, wondering just what he was supposed to have done now. "Umm. What's wrong, Professor Cregg?" he said warily as he stepped into her office.

"Call me CJ and shut the door. I need to talk to you about Phoebe."

Bel shut the door. "What about her? What's going on? She's okay, right?" he said.

"Yeah...no. Not really. She snuck out of the clinic Tuesday and I had her in here for quite a while. Belthazor...tell me what happened to her? She's still terrified and, well, I promised I'd help. Have a seat and tell me about it. " She motions to the chair, and sits back down herself.

"And I haven't even asked if you're all right. I'm sorry. How are you?"

"I'm...okay," he said slowly. "What did Phoebe tell you about what happened?"

Entirely unphased, she meets his eyes and tells him, "She told me she was attacked by demons who were trying to kill her becasue she's a witch. That one of them, who had teeth for eyes, got into her mind and twisted it up and Mr. Phale went in and helped her. She's worried and scared and can't hide behind you, Belthazor. She's too strong a girl to hide. and I wanted you to know you aren't alone here. We'll do what we can to keep you safe. Both of you...all of you."

"They were taken care of. They're not going to bother her again," Bel said. "So, yeah, she's safe here now. Thanks for looking out for her."

"Those ones, yeah. But she thinks there will be more. She says they won't stop. Belthazor...I think she needs more help than just you can handle. She does too. She loves you, you know. I promised...and you have no idea what that means to me. I'll help in whatever way I can. I just wanted you to know you're not alone. Come to me for anything. Okay?"

"With all due respect," Bel said sincerely, "there's not much you can do. I mean, I appreciate the offer and all, but I don't want to see you get caught in the middle of something and get hurt worse than Phoebe was."

"Belthazor, I appreciate your concern, but this is bigger than you and Phoebe. She said it's because she's a witch. She's not the only one. Her sisters, and others in the school. We need to get more people involved. As Phoebe said...you and I can't be with her all the time, let alone the rest of the kids."

Bel shook his head. "I can't involve more people. I just...can't. It's going to be okay, really. The ones who tried to hurt her are gone. They won't be coming after her or any other witch."

"How can you be so sure, Belthazor? You can't. Things around here...look. You're not alone in this. Phoebe told me everything. Do you, I don't know...I think you take on too much."

"Everything?" Bel repeated. "What do you mean by everything? What exactly did she tell you?"
