100 words on the topic of your choice.

Journalism 201
150 words on alcohol.

Journalism 301
200 truthful words on the topic of your choice.

Advanced Journalism
100 riveting, truthful words on a topic of personal interest.

Combat Journalism
100-150 words in a slanted article on legalizing child labor. Pro or Con is your choice – the object is to stir up a heated reaction.

Photojournalism has no homework until I’ve been informed what sort of equipment the students have gotten hold of.

Homework for Journalism 101

Religion is everywhere. It’s like you can’t walk down a street without passing a church, or a synagogue, or whatever. It’s impossible to avoid – there’s always nutty people walking around handing out flyers and trying to convert you to their religion and everything. It’s insane.

You can’t ignore it. You can move to wherever and hope that it stays away, that this time there will be sane, non psychotic religious stuff going on. But it never works, because too many people are weird enough to get involved in religion without realizing how weird it is.

It’s weird. God is weird.

201 Homework

Okay Alcohol. Right. Alcohol is very good for people above the legal drinking age and very bad for people who aren’t. It is the only thing that keeps the teachers from killing us and feeding our poor, dead, rotting, maggot-infested carcasses to Professor Jerusalem.

If it weren’t for alcohol and coffee we would all be dead because the teachers would have killed every last one of us on sight.

And in fact in quiet a few cases if it weren’t for alcohol some of the students here might not even ever have been born or conceived. Alcohol also causes people to behave like complete utter horny idiots and entertain everyone else, especially the sober people. Well, soberer.

If it weren’t for alcohol, from beer to wine, watered down Coors Light to Everclear, Kahluha to Absinthe this great big huge shit-stain of an existence wouldn’t be anywhere near as much fun.
